Trekking Tours in Valley of Flowers

Trekking in Valley of Flowers

Trekkers generally take the route from Govindghat via Hemkund Sahib and Ghangharia. The trekkers start their journey from Joashimath going to Govindghat Ghangaria, Valley of Flowers park and Hemkund Sahib.


The trekking for Valley of Flowers initiates with Joshimath. Joshimath is cuddled in the mountain slopes above two rivers called Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. The trekkers have a golden chance of enjoying Temple Tours here by visiting:

a) Narsimhadeva temple (dedicated to Lord Vishnu)
b) Vasudeva temple (dedicated to Lord Vishnu)
c) Rudraprayag (dedicated to Lord Shiva)
d) Nav durga temple
e) Shankracharya Math

From Joshimath the trekkers move to Govindghat, which is a conflux of Alaknanda and Bhyundar. Even here travelers can spend some quality time by visiting the following:

1) The imposing Gurudwara, the most important landmark in the area located right on the bank of river Alaknanda, named after Guru Govind Singh
2) A temple dedicated to Lord Laxman


The next stop from Govindghat is Ghanagria which is also known as Govinddham. You can treat your taste buds here, and proceed for Valley of Flowers National Park whose area is covered with Alpine forests of birch and rhododendron.

The treks are dotted with encounters with meadows of indigenous alpine flowers and abode of many endangered species of animals and birds.
